So, you are heading off to New Jersey. Well, kudos. There are some awesome places in NJ that you absolutely need to visit in order to get the true feel of it. Historical sights, museums, galleries, and other places of art all play an important part in the NJ landscape. But, let us not forget the crown jewels of NJ nightlife, the clubs. Having fund and partying out is what NJ is all about once the night comes. And, as you will learn once you come, there are numerous clubs in NJ. So much, in fact, that you will have a hard time visiting them all. So, which clubs should you visit when in NJ? Well, let's take a look.
Our pick of the clubs you should visit when in NJ
Let us make one thing clear right off the bat. We are fans of great music and tasteful venues. So, don't expect that you'll find some hip club on our list that is popular now, and that is going to disappear in a year or two. We take the New Jersey club scene seriously, which is why this list is made up of ones that are tried and true.
The Dome Rooftop Bar & Lounge at The Manor
Located at 111 Prospect Avenue
Let's start off our list with one of the more upscale clubs in New Jersey. The Dome Rooftop Bar & Lounge at The Manor is a must-see for anyone who enjoys a more sophisticated night out. The club is set above the Manor Restaurant and has a glass dome for a rooftop (hence the name). This gives you an open view of the night sky while you are enjoying the ambiance and the setting. Speaking of which, both the bars and the tabletops are made from jade marble, which gives them a distinct look and feel. And the DJ plays both Old School and New School dance tracks every Friday and Saturday, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten
Located at 527 Lake Ave
Ok, so let us say that you are up for a less sophisticated club. Where to go? Well, our advice is that you visit Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten (Festhalle & Biergarten being German for feast hall and bear garden). Here, as you might guess, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of beers. We are talking about 39 different draft beers (some of them from Long Island) that you can drink in the 6,000 sq foot hall. This hall has old-school European design with large communal tables. And, if staying indoors is not for you, you can head on to the 9,000 sq foot bear garden, and have your drink there. This makes it ideal for large groups of friends who like to have a pint or five.
Located at 300 Route 46 East
Are you coming from Florida to New Jersey? Then we first advise you to visit amplemoving.com and learn how to move here properly. And, secondly, we advise you to visit 46 Lounge. This club combines flavors of Manhattan, Miami, and LA into a single venue. And, while other clubs may suffer from trying too hard, 46 Lounge manages to pull it off. Here you will see a Brazilian Cherry Dancefloor combined with Posh VIP Area and 3 Designer Martini and Vine bars. To go with that you have an International sharing menu of appetizers that range from well-known American snacks to Asian, Latin and even Mediterranean influences. Therefore, if you start feeling peckish, don't worry. The 46 Lounge has got you covered.
Avenue Nuit Night Club
Located at 23 Ocean Avenue
Ok, so we've mentioned one of the more upscale clubs you should visit when in NJ. But, we haven't mentioned the arguably most upscale club of them all. Avenue Nuit Night Club is the place you go to if you truly want to experience the high-end nightlife in New Jersey. London based architect David Collins designed this beautiful club in the style of St. Tropez by combining blue elements with white and ivory design. You can enjoy a rooftop pool, outdoor fireplace, VIP tables, and large bed seating. Not to mention the excellent cocktails, world-class DJs and an overall elegant setting. And if that is not enough, Avenue Nuit Night Club offers you a panoramic view of both Jersey Shore and Atlantic ocean. So, if you are looking for a club that will leave an impression on you, we do suggest giving Avenue Nuit Night Club a try.
Located at 248 Mulberry Street
If you believe that music and happiness go together, then one of the Clubs you should visit when in NJ is the QXT's. This is the oldest alternative dance club in New Jersey. It has become a go-to place for anyone in New Jersey who wishes to avoid dancing to currently popular songs. Here we are talking Rock, Industrial, Goth, the 80s, 90s, EDM and many other. If you do not like the main venue, you can head to one of their two additional rooms. Area 51 and the Crypt have their own bars, music and different people, so there is bound to be something for you to enjoy.
Located at 246 3rd St
And, if you are really in the mood for something different, you need to check out Mandala. This night club grew to attract a surprising variety of people. On Fridays and Saturdays, you will see a large number of Latino people enjoying Latino music and having a blast. But, on Thursdays and Sundays, the Mandala turns into a gay club. So, if you are in for a weird, yet fun experience while Mandala is one of the Clubs you should visit when in NJ. Just try to visit it on different nights to see the staggering difference.
We'd love to hear from you
